Superb work you make on Saussure !! modifier

While patrolling pages today, I saw your work, which seems very neat and complex…

I just wanted to tell you that for 2e ou can use {{e}} instead of e - We have many templates here for those abreviations… - Don't hesitate to contact me, or the Scriptorium for those simple (or more complex) predesigned templates :) --Cordialement, Hélène (d) 1 janvier 2012 à 21:58 (UTC)Répondre

Templates à ws:fr modifier

Hello,

 • en:Template:Nop, if I understand correctly, we use another trick. On the following page, wich begins with an indented paragraph, we put <nowiki/> and a blank line before the first paragraph… this way, we are sure that the indentation is correct. If I am mistaken in the effect of this template, please explain me…
 • en:Template:Table style, I don't think we have the equivalent… you may ask on the Scriptorium, to be sure, and if we don't have it, to import it… it seems very practicle… I am not found of Tables, and I hate to construct one by hand… ;) - Beware of confusion : we do have a {{table}} template, but it is meant to construct "Table of contents" in pages that can be transcluded into the Index Page in the "Sommaire" field.
 • you can use {{Taille}} to fix the size of a word (<100 is for reducing >100 is for upsizing), or a paragraph… I think this will reduce the size of the font AND the line-space…
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aenean commodo ligula eget dolor. Aenean massa.

For your information, here are almost all our templates, which we try to organize, but some are old, and some are not well documented…

Here is also my Memo for (new) contributors, but some tricks are for everybody… :) --Cordialement, Hélène (d) 1 janvier 2012 à 22:15 (UTC)Répondre

References on 2 (or more) pages modifier

Hello, Angr,

on this page and following one, I corrected the way you put the reference. When a ref. is written across 2 (or more) pages, you just have to "name" the first ref in the first page, and in the following pages you put the ref with <ref follow=name>the rest of the ref</ref> at the first punctuation (which allows a clean insertion).

This way, each ref is on the page it is part of, and in transclusion, they follow each other correctly.

I hope my explanations are clear - you can, of course, contact me on my Discussion page, if you need more explanations --Hélène (d) 11 février 2012 à 13:42 (UTC)Répondre

:FYI, I imported the template you requested from en: Modèle:Table style - hope it will be useful to you :) --Hélène (d) 11 février 2012 à 13:51 (UTC) - not operational for the moment… and "BIG" mistake from me… :S - we are trying to "clean up the mess" --Hélène (d) 11 février 2012 à 16:56 (UTC)Répondre

Cool, thanks! I had never heard of or seen <ref follow=name> before.

Hi, I'm not trying to replicate the hyphens that exist in the source text but rather to make the text as it appears in mainspace easier to read by allowing longer words to divide across line breaks. Because texts are displayed fully justified (a straight line along the right margin as well as the left), there can be very wide spaces between words, making the text difficult to read, unlress word breaks are allowed. —Mahāgaja · disc 23 juin 2020 à 19:54 (UTC)Répondre
