DE LA BASSE CHIFFRÉE.
Au moyen de chiffres placés sur chaque note de basse, on représente les accords supérieurs, qu’ils soient ou qu’ils ne soient pas renversés.
L’accord parfait majeur ou mineur se chiffre par .
L’accord parfait mineur accidentellement se chiffre par un précédé du bémol ou bécarre nécessaire, suivant le ton. Quelquefois aussi, l’accord parfait accidentellement majeur se chiffre, de même que le mineur, par un précédé du signe altératif nécessaire.
L’accord de quinte diminuée se chiffre par un 5 barré. Exemple : ; (la barre indiquant la diminution de l’intervalle chiffré qui en est affecté).
L’accord de quinte augmentée se chiffre par un 5 précédé d’une petite croix. Exemple : (la croix indiquant l’augmentation de l’intervalle chiffré).
La sixte augmentée avec quinte juste, ainsi :
La sixte et la quarte augmentées, ainsi : .
La septième dominante se chiffre par un 7 sous lequel on place un 3 précédé du signe altératif nécessaire pour rendre majeure la tierce de l’accord. Exemple : ou , suivant le ton.
La septième dominante avec quinte augmentée se chiffre ainsi .
La septième de seconde espèce, ainsi : .
La septième de troisième espèce, ainsi : .
La septième de quatrième espèce, ainsi : .
(Quelquefois, on précède le chiffre du signe altératif nécessaire pour rendre majeure la septième.)
La septième de sensible se chiffre ainsi : .
La septième diminuée, ainsi : .
La neuvième majeure ainsi : ou , suivant le ton.
La neuvième mineure ainsi : ou , suivant le ton.
Voici un tableau général de tous les accords et de leurs différents renversements, avec les chiffres qui les représentent.
N° 1. — Accords de trois sons ayant deux renversements :
- A. Parfait majeur.
- B. Parfait mineur.
- C. De quinte diminuée.
- D. De quinte augmentée.
N° 2. — Accords de quatre sons, n’ayant qu’un renversement usité.
- E. De sixte augmentée avec quinte juste.
- F. De sixte et quarte augmentées.
N° 2. bis — Accords de quatre sons, ayant trois renversements.
- G. De septième dominante.
- H. De septième dominante avec quinte augmentée[1].
- I. De septième de seconde espèce.
- J. De septième de troisième espèce.
- K. Septième de quatrième espèce.
- L. De septième sensible.
- M. De septième diminuée.
N° 3. — Accords de cinq sons ayant quatre renversements.
- N. De neuvième majeure.
O. De neuvième mineure.
- ↑ Afin de ne pas produire l’effet trop dur que l’augmentation de la quinte rendrait insupportable si elle était frappée contre la septième mineure, on éloigne d’une distance de sixte et de dixième ces deux intervalles l’un de l’autre dans le premier et le second renversement de l’accord. A l’état direct et au dernier renversement, on éloigne aussi la quinte augmentée, mais seulement à l’intervalle supérieur de sixte augmentée de la septième mineure.
