THE SPALDING GYMNASIUM

The hundreds or gymnasts who competed in the différents events in the Stadium during the year proclaimed the apparatus made by A. G. Spalding & Hros. the best that Ihey had ever worked on, and the team of German Turners that came lo America especially to compete in the Internatio nal Championships at St. Louis on July I and 2, 1904, requested that they bo permitted to use the apparatus of the Spalding gymnasium exhibit in the gymnastic tournament, ami at the conclusion of the two-day meeting voluntarily forwarded to A. G. Spalding & Bros, a testimonial h’ghly complimenting the Arm on the manufacture of their gymnastic a’-painlus. The same request was made by the Young Men’s Christian Association of America, and the appaiatns was used by them for the championships will) best results. In the International A. A. U. Championships A. G. Spalding & Bros. apparatus wav likewise used, and the chairman of the commitee declared the apparatus lu be the best ever used in connection with a championship meeting.
