HYSTEROMOTOCIE, ou HYSTÉROTOMIE, s. f. terme de Chirurgie, opération qu’on appelle autrement & plus ordinairement, opération césarienne. Voyez Césarienne. C’est un mot grec qui vient de ὑστέρα, uterus, matrice, & de τομὴ, sectio, section, incision. (Y)
