« Infortunately the limits assigned by treaty to the United States, embraced within it the larger portion of his father’s property, and the family attachment to the British Government, being well known, they were looked upon with little favour by the American population, and found it necessary, after much loss and disappointment, to remove to the north side of the River Detroit, which constitutes the boundary of Upper Canada.
